Black Pearl Rehmannia and Asparagus Formula pill 40g

This formula is a variant of Gan Lu Yin and it may be used for a wide variety of conditions characterised by deficiency of the Yin and Body Fluids with flourishing Fire affecting the upper body. Clinically, these conditions are all characterised by symptoms of Dryness, together with clinical signs of Yin deficiency and depletion of the Body Fluids. This is a well designed formula that addresses all of the relevant aspects of the pathogenesis in such conditions: deficiency of the Kidney Yin and Lung Yin, pathogenic Heat and Fire as well as impaired Qi dynamic of the middle Jiao.

This variant is enhanced with the addition of Scrophularia (xuan shen), which may nourish the Yin and Body Fluids, clear Heat and cool the Blood, purge Fire Toxin, disperse bound pathogens.
